Instruct, Teach, and Counsel
Psalm 32:8

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8 ESV

David is declaring that since he has repented and been forgiven by God, now he will instruct, teach, and counsel others to experience God’s mercy and grace. In the related Psalm 51:12-13, David expresses this same idea, that having been restored, he will teach transgressors God’s ways. The ones who have found peace with God must share their experience with others. Those trapped in sin need to know that God has provided forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus’ sacrificial and atoning death on the cross.

Lord Jesus, through faith in You I have been forgiven by Your grace. Help me to tell others of the great peace and joy that floods my soul because of Your mercy, grace, and love.
