"For Thou hast been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy." Psalm 61:3 NASB

David is giving a testimony of what God had done in the past. God had been his place of refuge of hope and trust. God was his shelter, his protection from the enemy. Because of the past, David had confidence that God would see him through the present trials and tribulations.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for being with me and guiding me through previous times of struggle and pain. I am glad that You will be with me today and every day as I trust You and live according to Your Word, the Bible.
