“But as for me, by Thine abundant lovingkindness I will enter Thy house, At Thy holy temple I will bow in reverence for Thee.” Psalm 5:7 NASB

As the psalmist prepares to enter into the temple to worship, he does not come because of his own merit or his own goodness. He comes to worship in God’s presence because of God’s great love and mercy. Because of how great God is, he desires to respectfully worship and glorify God. As believers we should be prepared when we gather to worship. We should come to worship with reverence, acknowledging God’s greatness and holiness, and mindful of His grace, mercy, and love.

Lord Jesus, I come boldly into Your presence, having been redeemed by the blood shed on Calvary’s cross. Let me join with others at church this Sunday to worship and glorify You.
