“Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles.” Psalm 25:22 NASB

The psalm concludes with an intercessory prayer for the nation of Israel. It is a plea for God to not only protect and deliver David from his troubles but to also protect all of God’s chosen people. While this psalm focuses on David’s trials, troubles, and sorrows, it also recognizes that all the people of God face similar circumstances and struggles. It is a further reminder that God’s children are in need of God’s redeeming grace, merciful deliverance, fortifying strength, and sustaining blessings.

Lord Jesus, may Your followers, all over the world, be strengthened and sustained in the midst of the trials and tribulations we face this day. Let us give You glory as we find refuge in You.
