“For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His ordinances were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me.” Psalm 18:21-22 NASB

David declared his obedience to God’s commands. Though David was not perfect or sinless, he truly desired to follow God’s ways with his whole heart. He was devoted to studying and obeying God’s Word. David had not just looked quickly at the commands and then put them aside. Instead He continually heard, read, studied, memorized, meditated, and applied God’s Word. He lived a life that was pleasing to God because he faithfully obeyed God.

Lord Jesus, I desire to know and follow the truths of Your Word. Help me to daily study the Bible to know You and to keep Your ways.
