“Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 NASB

Jesus declares that just saying words will not save a person. Many people are very religious. They can spout numerous religious words. But they do not have a personal relationship with the Father that comes through faith in the Son. True faith in Jesus is demonstrated in obedience to the Father’s will. True faith is more than just saying that Jesus is Lord. It is obeying Jesus as Lord and Master.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my life, my will, my all, to You as Lord. I desire to obey Your Word and to follow Your will every moment of every day.
