“Enter through the narrow gate. . . . But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13a, 14 NIV

Jesus speaks of two gates and two destinations in verses thirteen and fourteen. The narrow gate ends in life. Only a few people follow the difficult and confining way through life. They go against the crowd. They don’t follow the majority and popular way. They follow God’s narrow way. They allow God to navigate and direct their way. God’s way leads to life, abundant and eternal.

Lord Jesus, help me not to be swayed by the pressures of the world’s standards and lifestyles. I desire to follow You and to live by Your Word.
