“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11 KJV

In a world filled with fear, the angel said “fear not.” The shepherds were afraid, but God’s message was fear not. Our world is filled with fear, with much anger, hatred, unrest, injustice, despair, and terror. We need to hear the simple message to fear not. How can we not be afraid in a world filled with turmoil and pain? How could the shepherds find comfort, joy, and peace? The answer for the shepherd and for us is found in the Savior that was born that day.

Lord Jesus, instead of being gripped in constant fear, let me be filled with Your love, comfort, and joy. In a world filled with fear, because You are my Savior and Lord, I have peace.
