“But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:31 HCSB

The word “believe” is much more that just acknowledging that the facts are true, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Savior. To believe in Jesus is to place all your hope and confidence in Him to save you from eternal punishment and to provide eternal life. The only way, the only solution for our sin problem, is Jesus. To believe in Jesus is to place your complete faith and trust in Him, and in Him alone. To believe in Jesus is to be totally committed to following Him and obey His commands.

Lord Jesus, You are my only hope for salvation and life. I rely totally and completely on You as I trust You as my Savior and obey You as my Lord.
