“For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13 NIV

As Israel faced its raging and hostile enemies who quarreled and fought against them, God spoke reassuring words through His prophet, Isaiah. Though they were afraid due to the powerful evil around them, Israel was comforted because the all-powerful Almighty Lord God would be with them and would help them. Just like a father firmly grasping a small child’s hand as they cross a busy road, God would hold and guide His children through the troubled times.

Lord Jesus, as I face an ever darkening evil world, I am comforted by Your presence and trust in Your powerful help. Guide me through Your Word, the Bible, as I walk daily in obedient fellowship with You.
