Crucified with Christ
Galatians 2:20a
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20 NASB
When Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, He was there as the atoning sacrifice for sin, my sin and yours. He died, taking the wrath of God for our sin. He took our place, our punishment. He was our substitute, dying in our place. Freely, lovingly He gave Himself for me and for you. It is by grace, God’s grace, that through placing our faith, our total and complete trust, solely in what Jesus did on Calvary, we can be saved, redeemed, made righteous through the blood of Christ.
Lord Jesus, I am in awe and amazed that You died for me, taking my place and giving me life. I worship You, my Savior and Lord!
