Live by Faith
Galatians 2:20

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20 NASB

The believer’s old way of life, his sinful, worldly nature, has been crucified with Christ. No longer is he to be dominated, ruled, and driven by sin. That old life is dead. Instead he is to live a new life with his body, mind, will, and emotions mastered and controlled by Christ. He is to walk by faith, yielded and surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, driven and energized by the love Jesus demonstrated on the cross.

Lord Jesus, I do not want to go back to the old crucified sinful lifestyle, for I yearn for You to live through me, to live by faith, to walk every moment in Your grace and love.
