“Praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned.” Colossians 4:3 NASB

Even though Paul was in a Roman prison, his prayer concern was not his imprisonment but that the message of Christ be shared. He asked the Colossians to pray for him and his companions that they would able to tell others about the mystery of Christ. Paul wanted them to pray for him to have an opportunity to preach the gospel. All believers are encouraged to pray for those who witness and preach the message of Christ Jesus. Pray that they would seize the opportunity to share the good news. Pray for boldness to speak out for Jesus.

Lord Jesus, help me to pray for others as they witness for You. Give them opportunity and boldness to share the good news of salvation.
