“Also, regard the patience of our Lord as an opportunity for salvation, just as our dear brother Paul has written to you according to the wisdom given to him.” 2 Peter 3:15 HCSB

Peter reiterates the thought found in 2 Peter 3:9 that God is patiently waiting before bringing judgment in order to give people an opportunity to respond to His grace, mercy, and love through His offer of salvation. God desires that all people have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. While God is patient, Judgment Day will come. Peter also notes that Paul wrote about this same offer of salvation with the wisdom and insight that God had given him.

Lord Jesus, I am amazed at Your patience and Your grace. Help me to share with others Your offer of salvation before it is too late.
