“Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 NASB

Believers are to love one another. Jesus stated that this love for one another would be an identifying mark of His believers. Peter writes that believers are to keep fervent in this love. Fervent means this love is an intense, unfailing, deep, and enthusiastic love that dominates over all other feelings and desires. Peter also writes that this is an understanding and selfless love that is quick to forgive others.

Lord Jesus, help me to quickly forgive and to live in harmony with other believers. Let my life be filled with Your love, grace, and mercy and let this love overflow in my dealings with others.
