“And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3 NASB

Because the Lord Jesus is coming again, every believer is to keep working to make his life pure, just as Jesus is pure and holy. The blood of Jesus cleanses the believer from the punishment of sin, yet every believer must strive to be cleansed from the presence of sin. He must continually pursue moral, ethical, and spiritual purity. His conduct is to be judged by the life of Jesus. The believer must strive toward the standard of purity set by Jesus.

Lord Jesus, help me to live this day with a pure heart and mind. I desire my actions to be pure and holy so I may honor You.
