“We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.” 1 John 1:4 HCSB

John writes this letter for the purpose that our joy would be full, overflowing, fulfilled, and thus complete. True joy comes not from external circumstances of life but comes from a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus. Real joy comes from having fellowship with God the Father and the Son and with other believers.

Lord Jesus, You bring such great delight and pleasure to my life. Help me to share with others the joy of being in a right relationship with You.
