“It came about the same night that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,” 1 Chronicles 17:3 NASB

God spoke to Nathan, His prophet, to correct David’s plans. Nathan was listening and attentive to hear God’s voice. Every believer must be accessible and prepared to listen to God’s voice. Today God speaks directly through His written Word, the Bible. God still speaks in various ways, but He will never contradict His written Word. Believers must be diligent students of the Bible, constantly seeking the Lord through a lifelong study of His Word.

Lord Jesus, I delight in studying the Bible for I learn and am guided by Your words. As I seek to grow closer to You each day, I yearn to hear and obey Your voice.
