“Today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 NASB

The little baby Jesus born in Bethlehem is the Savior who came to save us from our sins. Jesus is the Christ which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew word Messiah meaning “the anointed one.” Prophets, priests, and kings were anointed with oil. Jesus holds all three titles. He is The Prophet, speaking God’s Word of judgment and salvation. He is The Priest, mediating between man and God and offering the sacrifice for all sin. He is The King, ruling and reigning over all the universe. Jesus is the Lord, the supreme authority and master of all.

Lord Jesus, I bow before You and worship You as my Savior, Christ, and Lord. Reign in my life today, directing me to obediently follow Your commands.
