“I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Thy name forever.” Psalm 86:12 NASB

The psalmist found himself deep in trouble, suffering in the midst of difficult circumstances. He begins this lament psalm by crying out for God to hear his prayers and save his life. As he pleads for God’s help, he remembers that God is gracious, loving, and does mighty deeds. This realization of God’s greatness leads him to express his praise and thanksgiving to God. Even in a time of deep trouble with his life in danger, he glorifies God thanking Him with a sincere and loyal heart. The psalm ends with a renewed assurance that God will help him through his difficult situation.

Lord Jesus, while times may be tough with trouble all around, You are my Savior and Lord. Thank You for saving my soul and providing all I need so that I may glorify You with all my life.
