“The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous;” Psalm 146:8 NASB

Physically and spiritually, the Lord provides sight for the blind. Jesus healed the blind, but He also opens our blinded understanding to see the truth found in God’s Word. The Lord gives strength to those who are crushed down and oppressed, lifting them up from their lowly estate. When we are weary and heavy laden, Jesus gives rest. The Lord loves those who strive to honor Him by living according to righteousness. Blessed and loved are those who obey God’s Word.

Lord Jesus, I praise You for caring for my needs and for teaching me through the Bible. Help me to live in obedience to Your Word, exemplifying Your grace and love.
