“Hallelujah! My soul, praise the LORD. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I live.” Psalm 146:1-2 HCSB

The psalmist emphatically and exuberantly declares his praise to the Lord God. His entire being is devoted to praising God with every fiber of his life for as long as he has breath. The constant and consistent pattern of his life is praising the Lord. Every ounce of his being and every second of the day is filled with thoughts of God. While often our praise is limited by, at best, a few moments a day, or at worst, a few moments on Sunday, the psalmist’s life is consumed by praising the Lord God.

Lord Jesus, fill my entire life with a constant awareness of Your great grace, mercy, and love. Let my thoughts, my words, and my songs be filled with praises to You, my Lord, all the days of my life.
