“When I remember Thee on my bed, I meditate on Thee in the night watches,” Psalm 63:6 NASB

What do you do when sleep does not come quickly, or when you are awake at all hours of the night? David thought about God. He remembered the things God had done in the past to provide for him. He thought about how God had sustained him through difficult circumstances. He pondered God’s Word seeking a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. He meditated on God and His great glory, power, and love. As David laid down in the quietness and stillness of the night, he reflected on the greatness of God.

Lord Jesus, help me always to be mindful of You every moment I am awake. Even in my sleepless nights let me think about the peace and comfort You bring to my life.
