"So I will sing praise to Thy name forever, That I may pay my vows day by day." Psalm 61:8 NASB

David is grateful to God for sustaining him through the time of despair and heartache. Daily he obediently carried out the task God had given him and sang praises to God. Praising God in song is a constant reminder of God’s goodness and care. David found that praising God in song helped lift him out of the despair.

Lord Jesus, I lift my voice in praise each day to You, my Savior and Redeemer, my Refuge and Strength. You are my song of hope even in the night of despair and my song of joy each day.
