“You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound.” Psalm 4:7 CSB

God answered David’s prayer by filling his heart with great joy. There is a peace and contentment that comes from God’s presence, mercy, grace and love in a person’s life that is beyond comprehension. Even in the midst of the discouragement of the darkest storm, God gives great peace to those who trust in Him. While others may try to find joy and prosperity in material things, including an abundant harvest of food and drink, this great joy comes only from being in a right relationship with God.

Lord Jesus, I am thankful that even in the troubles and trials of this life, I have joy and contentment in You. Help me to share Your joy and grace with others.
