“To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me.” Psalm 25:1-2 NASB

David was enduring one of those seasons of trouble and heartache when it seemed the whole world was against him. Despite the despair and crushing weight of the circumstances of life, David turned to God, declaring his dependence and trust in God. God was his help and his only comfort and solace in the midst of the storms of life. His soul yearned for God’s peace and guidance to triumph over his enemies. He yearned for right and goodness to triumph over the evil.

Lord Jesus, in the midst of the devastating storms of life, I place my trust in You. I cry out to You, desiring to be enveloped by Your powerful protective presence.
