The Creator Provides
Psalm 19:6

“In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun . . . It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.” Psalm 19:4b,6 NIV

The sun has its daily path in our sky. It appears to rise in the east and move across the sky until it sets in the west. In this circuit the sun has the daily effect of providing heat and light to the whole earth. Without the very precise placement of the sun in relationship to the earth, it would either be too hot or too cold to sustain human life. The wise and powerful God has placed the sun in the right place, and He sustains life for all.

Lord God, as I look at all of creation and in particularly the sun, I am awestruck by Your power and wisdom. Even more I am amazed that the Creator of all the universe would provide and care for me.
