“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?” Psalm 18:30-31 NIV

David bursts forth in praise as he ponders and describes God. God is perfect, complete, upright, undefiled, and without any blemish or blame. His character and His deeds are perfect, pure, and holy. The Word of God is flawless like pure gold that has been through the fire and refined. God’s Word has been tested and is found true, pure, and trustworthy. God is a shield that protects all who seek refuge in Him. There is no god other than the Lord God who can be trusted without fail. The Lord God is the only true God and the only One who provides protection and salvation.

Lord Jesus, You are my Savior and the Lord of my life. In You I find my salvation and my protection from evil and destruction.
