“Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.” Matthew 6:9 NASB

Jesus gives the righteous a pattern for meaningful prayers. The model prayer begins with the acknowledgment of who God is. God is a Father who cares for His children. The righteous have an intimate relationship with God, yet must show reverence and respect to Him, mindful of His majesty, sovereignty, and power. God is holy and must be approached in prayer with respect to His character and authority.

Lord God, I come humbly into Your presence for You are the Almighty God who is Holy, Holy, Holy. I come before You because of Your love, grace, and mercy shown to me through Jesus Christ.
