“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.” Matthew 6:20 NASB

Jesus declares that the righteous person will have a lifestyle of storing up heavenly treasures. These heavenly treasures cannot be destroyed or stolen like earthly treasures. But what are heavenly treasures? These treasures include a godly character, a pure and holy life, a devotion to God, an obedience to God’s Word, and much more. Ultimately, heavenly treasures are those which bring glory and honor to the Lord God Almighty.

Lord Jesus, the desire of my life is to bring You glory and honor. Help me to learn from Your Word how to live in a way that pleases You.
