The Lord Saves
The Upward Look © Copyright 2006, Max D. Hutto,
“And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:21
NASB ©
Jesus, that wonderful name, means God is salvation, the Lord saves! This baby born to Mary was God coming to save His people. He came not to save them from the physical world around them, but to save them from their sins. Jesus came to provide the only way possible for sin to be completely forgiven. With sins forgiven, He gives eternal life to those who would trust in Him. Jesus came as a baby born in a manger to be the Savior for the world.
Lord Jesus, I am thankful for the salvation and the full, meaningful, and everlasting life You have provided for me. Help me to share with others the good news of forgiveness and salvation.
