The Shepherd’s Response
Luke 2:16-17

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,” Luke 2:16-17 NIV

Having heard the good news about the birth of the Savior, Christ the Lord, the shepherds hurried to find Him. The shepherds worshiped God, glorifying and praising Him for all that they had seen. The shepherds spread the word, telling all who would listen what they had witnessed. This same cycle of events continues today. We hear and believe the good news, the gospel of the Savior. We worship God, glorifying and praising Him. We tell others about Jesus.

Lord Jesus, You are my Savior and God. I worship and honor You with all I do. In this new year, help me to share with others the good news of the Savior.
