Amazing Grace and Peace
Ephesians 1:2a

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:2 CSB

Paul, in his greetings to his readers, wishes them grace and peace. Grace is God’s unmerited favor, blessing those who do not deserve His gifts. God, because of His love and mercy, shows kindness through His grace by providing forgiveness and salvation through Jesus. By His grace one is justified, made right in God’s sight. Grace has been described as God’s riches at Christ’s expense. Peace is more that an absence of conflict. It is a completeness, a wholeness of well-being, a calmness and security, no matter the circumstances one faces.

Lord Jesus, I am awestruck by Your amazing grace that has given salvation and life to me. Even in the midst of trials and troubles, Your grace and peace flood my soul.
