Love God and His People
Ephesians 1:15b

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,” Ephesians 1:15 HCSB

Paul articulated two notable characteristics of the Ephesian believers which are faith and love. This faith is more than just trusting in Jesus as Savior. It is loyal faithfulness to Jesus that is demonstrated by constant obedience to follow Jesus and all His commands. This faithfulness could be described as loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This love for God resulted in a love for all the saints, for all fellow believers. Jesus stated that his disciples would be known by their love for one another.

Lord Jesus, I pray that others would see in my daily life that I love You and love Your people, the church. Help me to live a life that is consistently faithful to You and Your Word.
