“To prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:12 NIV

Another training exercise or discipline the believer must practice to become spiritually fit is serving. God’s people, His disciples, are commissioned to serve God and serve others with the purpose of building up the church. There are many tasks to be done in the church, and each task is important. The believer is to look beyond himself and his needs to serve God and others. The disciple gladly and humbly serves, sharing the love and grace of God with others.

Lord Jesus, as part of my training to be physically and spiritually fit, help me to share Your great love by serving in Your church. I am thankful for the privilege of serving You and helping others to be drawn closer to You.
