“But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.” 2 Peter 2:12 NIV

Peter continues to describe the false teachers who were lashing out against the truths of God. These people lacked understanding even though they claimed great knowledge and insight. Acting like wild animals, they allowed natural instinct and sensual desires to rule their lives and their thoughts. Like wild beasts, their foolishness will cause them to be caught and destroyed because they do not comprehend nor obey God’s Word.

Lord Jesus, there is much foolishness that is being spoken in this world. Help me to learn and obey the wisdom and truth found in Your Word, the Bible.
