“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” 2 Peter 1:3 HCSB

Through the power of Jesus Christ, the believer has been given everything he needs for life eternally in heaven and life here on earth. It is through His power that this life can be lived in godliness that is pleasing and honoring to God. It is knowing Jesus as one’s personal Savior and Lord that provides this power for living life. The believer has this life because of the loving and gracious nature of Christ who provides salvation and the power to live a godly life.

Lord Jesus, I am thankful that You saved me and have given me eternal life and a growing personal relationship with You. Help me to live this day in a way that brings You glory and honor.
