“Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.” 1 Peter 3:3-4 NASB

Women wear gold jewelry and pretty dresses and fix their hair to look beautiful. But Peter declares that real beauty is not found in outer adornments or what you can see. Real beauty is found in the inner disposition. Gentleness, kindness, and godliness make a woman truly beautiful. Inner virtue and character make a person valuable and precious in God’s sight.

Lord Jesus, let my life gleam in the inner beauty of being godly, holy, and righteous. Fill me with Your love and grace till I reflect You in all I do.
