Faith and Hope

“You who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”
   1 Peter 1:21 HCSB ©

It is only through Jesus Christ that people can know God. Believers have a personal relationship with God because Jesus’ death paid the ransom price to redeem us from our sins. Proof that God accepted the sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary’s cross can be seen in that God raised Jesus back to life again and then seated Him on the throne at His right hand giving Him the honor and glory He deserves. Believers have faith in what God has done and assured hope in what He will do. This faith and hope provide the sustenance for believers to endure the hardships and persecutions they face in this present world.

Lord Jesus, I am amazed at what You did for me so that I can have eternal life. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You as I face the trials and tribulations of this world.
