“And who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:5 NASB

Victory is won over the evil forces of the world by the person who believes in Jesus. This belief is a total trust and commitment in Jesus as the Son of God. This Jesus is God who became flesh. He was virgin born. He lived a sinless life. He was crucified as the sacrificial lamb to pay the price of the sins of all people. He was buried and rose from the grave three days later to provide eternal life. He ascended into heaven. He will come again to judge the world. Belief in this Jesus is the only way to overcome evil and gain entrance into heaven.

Lord Jesus, I stand in amazement at who You are and what You have done for me. Help me to live today in the victory You provide by being obedient to Your Word.
