Lifestyle of Sin

“No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”
1 John 3:6 NIV ©

The one who abides, who remains, who lives in Jesus will not have a lifestyle of sinning. The believer may commit an act of sin, and then sensing the conviction of God’s Spirit within him, confess and repent of that sin. This verse, however, refers to a consistent pattern, a continual habit, a practicing lifestyle characterized by sinning. The one who keeps on sinning has not seen or known Jesus and does not have a life-changing, saving, relationship with Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I am thankful for the life-changing relationship I have with You that keeps me from a life of sin. Help me to live this day in a way that would be pleasing to You
