The Holy Spirit In Us

The Upward Look

“And the one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And we know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
1 John 3:24 NASB ©

How can one know that he has a relationship with God, that he lives in God and God in him? God has given the true believer His Holy Spirit to live in him. God’s Spirit will give him assurance of this relationship. This relationship will result in the believer being obedient to all God’s commands. God’s Spirit will develop the believer’s character to reflect that of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will bear fruit in the believer’s life, filling him with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Lord, I desire to obey Your commands. Develop my character so others will see Jesus in the way I talk and act.
