“Look at how great a love the Father has given us, that we should be called God’s children. And we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know Him.”
1 John 3:1 HCSB ©

With amazement and astonishment John writes of the love the Father lavishes upon His children. How great, how wonderful, how glorious, how incredible is God’s great love that is poured out beyond measure on those who believe. This divine love seeks the very best for mankind. It seeks to forever change sinners into children who bear the name and honor of God the Father. The evil, world society is hostile toward God and rejects Him. Thus, not understanding God, the world hates His children.

Lord Jesus, I cannot fathom Your great, amazing love shown on Calvary’s cross. Help me, as a child of God, to live this day in a way that would bring honor to You.
