“And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.”
1 John 2:17 HCSB ©

The evil world society that is hostile toward God and His ways is passing away. It is already in decay and will one day be completely destroyed. Jesus sealed its fate when He died and then arose from the dead, victorious over sin and death. The person who trusts God and obeys His will has eternal life. One’s confession of faith must be lived out in one’s life. When one truly believes in Jesus Christ, one’s life will be changed forever.

Lord Jesus, I want to follow Your example of always doing the Father’s will. Help me to live my life focused not on the world’s evil desires but on Your will.
