“I have written to you, children, because you have come to know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have come to know the One who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, cause you are strong, God’s word remains in you, and you have had victory over the evil one.”
1 John 2:14

The secrets to having victory over evil are knowing God the Father, knowing God the Son, Jesus Christ the Lord, and standing firm on the Word of God. To be a child of God one must place his total trust in God through faith in Jesus. There is no other way to find forgiveness, eternal life, and salvation except through obedient trust and faith in the Lord Jesus. He alone brings victory over sin and death. To grow up to maturity, one must be filled with the Word of God. It is only through abiding in the Word, the Bible, that one can become strong in faith and overcome evil.
Lord Jesus, help me to dig deeper into Your Word, the Bible, so I may know You better and may have victory over evil. I desire to grow closer and closer to You each day.
