“So they and their sons had charge of the gates of the house of the LORD, even the house of the tent, as guards. The gatekeepers were on the four sides, to the east, west, north and south.” 1 Chronicles 9:23-24 NASB

This group of Levites had the job of being the gatekeepers for the house of the Lord. Part of their job was to control who had access and who would be denied into the Lord’s house. Today every believer belongs to the Lord. We must be gatekeepers of what we allow into our lives, our bodies, our minds, and our hearts. We must deny access to all forms of evil, sinful, and harmful thoughts, ideas, and things. We must allow access for all that is good, wholesome, and holy.

Lord Jesus, my desire is to live a holy life that brings You glory and honor. Help me to guard my life, my mind, and my heart from evil while being filled with Your grace, mercy, and love.
