“And who is like Your people Israel? God, You came to one nation on earth to redeem a people for Yourself, to make a name for Yourself through great and awesome works by driving out nations before Your people You redeemed from Egypt. You made Your people Israel Your own people forever, and You, LORD, have become their God.” 1 Chronicles 17:21-22 HCSB

God, in His matchless grace, had chosen Israel to be His special people. God had worked to redeem them from the captivity of slavery in Egypt. He had brought them through the desert to the Promise Land. He drove the other nations out of the land because of their evil deeds. It was through Israel that God would bless and provide redemption for all people.

Lord Jesus, it is through You that redemption and salvation is offered to all people. Thank You for Your marvelous grace and mercy that has saved my soul.
